Responsibilities

  • Support the AVP and other departmental partners on recognition and stewardship projects, including research and writing.
  • Serve as first point of contact/triage for the Recognition and Stewardship email account.
  • Utilize Dartmouth’s systems of record and other software to gather and process data.
  • Generate purchase orders, reconcile expenses, and establish/manage vendors and contracts.
  • Provide administrative support to the AVP; manage meeting calendar; prepare meetings and events; coordinate travel; maintain trip itineraries with timely reimbursements.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and collegiality in interactions and communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (5%).

Job description

Position Purpose

Serve as a resource for colleagues in Recognition and Stewardship, providing research and administrative support for core departmental operations and a variety of special projects.

Responsibilities

Works with Assistant Vice President and other departmental partners on a wide range of recognition and stewardship projects, which include research and writing activities. Serves as first point of contact/triage officer for the Recognition and Stewardship e‑mail account. Utilizes Dartmouth’s systems of record (Advance, Balance, Data Warehouse) and other software to gather and process data.

In accordance with Dartmouth’s finance policies, generates purchase orders, reconciles expenses, and establishes and manages vendors and associated contracts.

Provides administrative support for the Assistant Vice President while maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality and sensitivity. Oversees the management of the Assistant Vice President’s meeting calendar, ensures preparation for meetings and events, coordinates travel plans based on needs and preferences, and maintains comprehensive trip itineraries with timely business expense reimbursements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of office experience in a complex work environment.
