Job summary

Dartmouth College is seeking a Special Projects and Administrative Coordinator to support Recognition and Stewardship with research and administrative duties, and to manage procurement, travel, and calendar coordination for the AVP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of office experience in a complex work environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • High level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to maintain flexibility in a changing environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects/tasks with competing priorities.
  • Collaborative nature and ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, diplomacy, and commitment to professionalism.
  • Good judgment and ability to interact with a diverse group of people internal and external to Dartmouth College.
  • Discretion and confidentiality with donor-related information and sensitive matters.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to understand, facilitate, and implement complex scheduling.
  • Experience with Ablebits or VLOOKUP or similar data manipulation tools.
  • Familiarity with databases and web-based programs.
  • Demonstrated research and analytic skills.

Responsibilities

  • 30% of time: Generate purchase orders, reconcile expenses, and manage vendors and associated contracts in accordance with Dartmouth’s finance policies.
  • 15% of time: Provide administrative support for the Assistant Vice President, manage calendar, coordinate travel, and handle expense reimbursements.
  • 5% of time: Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Purpose
