Job summary

KBR Careers is seeking a Special Operations Community Resource Coordinator (CRC) at Hurlburt Field, FL. This role focuses on coordinating peer support networks, developing programs for service members and families, and reporting on outcomes to strengthen resiliency across units.

The coordinator will work with DoD resources like Military OneSource and MFLC, recruit and train peer counselors, and ensure compliance with USSOCOM CRC standards, including communication with leaders and communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, human/social services or related field or four years’ experience.
• Specialized training on peer support counseling, community resources and referrals and suicide prevention.
• Keep abreast of DoD, Services and community resources promoting wellbeing of service members and families.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and report activity of peer counseling networks for service members and families.
• Report activity using designated reporting tool and frequency.
• Conduct and contribute to Family Orientation, Information, Outreach and Referrals; Pre- and Post‑deployment Preparation, Reintegration, and Decompression.
• Contribute to Family Relational Enhancement activities and unit level career transition programs.
• Support social/family and psychological program implementation, including suicide prevention and cognitive agility training.
• Assist with development of standard operating procedures and service provision protocols.
• Serve as Commander’s liaison for community and family support matters.
• Communicate on behalf of the Command via media/social media.
• Maintain awareness of emergency response protocols.
