Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Title I assignments must meet one of the listed requirements (education or equivalent)
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training provided by the District
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, including adapting the curriculum to individual student needs; provide general supervision and support to ensure skill generalization.
• Implement student accommodations, supports, modifications, and programming outlined in the IEP; maintain progress and behavior records with licensed staff.
• Assist licensed staff in preparing materials, administering tests, attendance, and related tasks; assist with events such as fire drills.
• Perform online/remote instruction tasks, assist with technology access and coursework completion when applicable.
• Maintain records of student progress and behavior in coordination with licensed staff.
• Follow safety, hygiene, and classroom management procedures; assist with transportation and homebound duties as assigned.
