Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe education needs under licensed special education staff. You will support individuals and small groups, adapt curriculum, monitor progress, and help with behavior strategies and completion of assignments.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, maintaining records, providing technical care, and assisting in remote learning settings with technology access and coursework completion.

Qualifications

• HSE diploma required and mandatory background check/fingerprinting.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention training provided by District.
• Medication administration training provided by District as needed.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and office equipment.
• Ability to work independently and with students in various assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Implement IEP-supported accommodations and document progress with licensed staff.
• Prepare materials, assist with attendance, tests, and classroom events.
• Support online/remote learning tasks and help with technology issues when needed.
