Cherry Creek School District seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed staff guidance. You will assist individuals and small groups with curriculum and behavior strategies, prepare instructional materials, monitor progress, and maintain achievement records.

Formación

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• No professional work experience required.
• Two years of study at an institution of higher education or an associate's degree, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
• Biennial Crisis Prevention Intervention training may be required.
• Medication administration training may be provided by the District.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and office equipment.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.

Responsabilidades

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations, supports, modifications, and programming; maintain progress and behavior records.
• Assist with preparing materials, tests, attendance; help with documentation and events (e.g., fire drills).
• Assist in online/remote settings with technology access and curriculum reinforcement when needed.
• Monitor and support student behavior and safety in various program assignments.

Educación

High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma

Two years of college OR Associate’s degree

Crisis Prevention Intervention training

Medication administration training

Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
