Responsibilities include monitoring students, assisting with entering/exiting the bus, securing wheelchairs, and coordinating with drivers on emergencies. Must maintain certifications and participate in training.

Qualifications

• The minimum prerequisites include a high school diploma or equivalent and required certifications.
• Background check and fingerprinting are required for hire.
• CPR and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students with varying needs during bus rides and take safety steps as needed.
• Provide emotional and physical support for entering/exiting the bus and securing students.
• Safely secure wheelchairs and adjust safety vests and seating configurations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections with the bus driver.
• Communicate student information to drivers, guardians and teachers and file reports.
• Collaborate on emergency evacuation planning and execute procedures if needed.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in trainings.
