Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students to and from home, schools, and district trips. You will monitor stops, ensure safe boarding and alighting, and perform administrative tasks when not driving.

The role requires a Colorado CDL Class B with P and S endorsements, a clean driving record, background checks, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to pass district screenings. Expect variable duties and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Colorado driver’s license
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class B with P and S endorsements
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must meet insurability requirements
• Must pass Colorado Bureau of Investigation, FBI, and Colorado Department of Education screenings
• Must have a clean motor vehicle record in last 3 years
• Motor Vehicle Record dated within 30 days required
• No DUI/DWAI in last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Drive bus to transport students over assigned routes safely and efficiently; after routes, perform administrative tasks for remaining hours
• Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort
• Report delays or accidents
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections as per Colorado standards
• Load and unload students at stops
• Discipline students if necessary
• Communicate procedures during emergencies
• Wait at locations between routes or pickups
• Participate in evacuation drills as required
• Attend required training activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
