Job summary

Specialty Restaurants Corporation’s Luminarias in Monterey Park, CA seeks an experienced Special Events Bartender for part-time, banquet-focused service. You will set up and stock banquet bars, craft cocktails with precision, and ensure guest satisfaction during large events.

Responsibilities include POS handling, cash reconciliation, and coordination with banquet captains and servers. Candidates need at least one year of experience, a high school diploma, and valid Food Handler and RBS

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of bartending experience, preferably in banquet, catering, hotel, resort, or high-volume event operations.
• Must successfully complete all company bartending training and validation requirements.
• Knowledge of proper jigger use, portion control, liquor laws, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to clearly speak, read, and understand English.

Prepare, set up, and break down banquet bars quickly and efficiently for events ranging from small gatherings to large-scale functions.2. Provide exceptional guest service by engaging with guests in a friendly, professional manner and responding promptly to requests during large events and receptions.5. Maintain strong situational awareness by monitoring guest activity, service flow, alcohol consumption, and surrounding event conditions to ensure a safe and organized environment.6. Work effectively under pressure and manage multiple guest requests simultaneously while maintaining speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.7. Follow all alcohol awareness policies and procedures, including identification verification, responsible alcohol service, and handling intoxicated guests appropriately.8. Participate in and successfully complete all required alcohol awareness, safety, and service training programs.9. Stock, organize, and replenish liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and supplies before, during, and after events.10. Accurately process guest transactions and operate the POS system when required.13. Balance cash, reconcile transactions, and secure all funds according to company procedures.14. Communicate effectively with banquet captains, servers, culinary staff, and event managers to ensure smooth event execution and guest satisfaction.15. Maintain a professional appearance and wear a clean, company-approved uniform at all times.16. Follow all company, safety, sanitation, and health department standards.## Physical Requirements1. Medium work requiring the ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds throughout a shift.2. Ability to stand and walk continuously for 6-8 hours or longer during event service.3. Ability to repeatedly bend, reach, stoop, and transport bar supplies, cases, glassware, ice, and equipment during setup and breakdown.4. Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume banquet environments with large guest counts.## Education / Experience / Qualifications1.
