Job summary

Auburn Athletics is seeking a Special Event Intern to assist with the planning and execution of special events and administrative tasks. You will learn Auburn Athletics venues, build vendor relationships, and support setup and breakdown for events.

As an enrolled Auburn University student, you will contribute to daily operations and gain hands-on experience while supporting the Event Coordinator during home games and activities. This internship offers exposure to collegiate athletics operations.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student at Auburn University.
• Ability to work 10-20 hours per week.
• Ability to work on both weekdays and weekends, including Auburn Athletics home games.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic audio-visual knowledge.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to work in variable weather conditions with loud crowd noise
• Ability to work both weekdays and weekends, 10-20 hours a week
• Ability to work during all Auburn Athletics home games
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Working knowledge of the following Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as basic audio-visual knowledge
• Ability to independently interpret and follow any verbal or written instruction, including floorplan and event details, with minimal supervision.
