Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is partnering with Brentwood SEN schools to recruit dedicated SEN Teachers for immediate start in both primary and secondary settings. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and working closely with the school team.

The role offers long-term opportunities with potential to become permanent, a supportive environment, and the chance to make a meaningful daily impact in Brentwood classrooms.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • PGCE or equivalent training.
  • Experience or strong interest in SEN education.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement.
  • Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
  • Create a safe, structured learning environment.
  • Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
  • Use strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists, and wider school teams.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
  • Implement and follow EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
  • Support positive behaviour management strategies across the classroom.

Role Overview

We are working with a range of SEN schools in Brentwood (primary and secondary settings) who are looking for dedicated SEN Teachers to join their teams immediately.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Teach pupils across primary and/or secondary SEN settings depending on placement
  • Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities
