Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient and committed Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant for a well-resourced SEN school in Brentwood. The role involves 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.

You will help pupils with autism, ADHD and communication needs, support EHCP targets, and work closely with teachers and SENCOs. The position starts ASAP and offers ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
  • Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
  • Willing to support personal care where needed.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
  • Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
  • Assisting with personal care where required.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Brentwood that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
