Job summary

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring is seeking passionate Grade 1-5 SPED certified coaches to work one-on-one with students needing reading, math, and executive function intervention. The contract (1099) role involves assessment-led planning and progress monitoring in a supportive setting.

Ideal candidates hold a SPED/reading specialist certification, experience with neurodivergent learners, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Speech Language Pathology.
• Certification as Reading Specialist, Math Specialist or SPED Teacher.
• Experience working with neurodivergent learners.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based intervention practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and support reading goals.
• Availability for after-school and weekend sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction using evidence-based techniques for students with ADD/ADHD, ASD, or executive dysfunction.
• Use assessment tools to identify specific learning needs for each student.
• Develop and implement personalized learning plans addressing unique challenges.
• Monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with parents and educators to communicate progress and strategies.
• Create a positive learning environment that motivates reading improvement.
