Job summary

Lewiston Public Schools is seeking an Education Technician III to assist in delivering educational services under IEP and PBSP in the RISE/Day Treatment programs. The role supports 1:1, 1:2 and small-group instruction throughout the school day, including transitions and meal periods.

Essential qualifications include three years of postsecondary education (or 90 credit hours) and Maine DOE Education Technician III certification; BHP certification may also be required.

Responsibilities

• Able to facilitate 1:1, 1:2 and small group instruction while meeting the needs of complex learners.
• Able to implement and follow an IEP and PBSP.
• Collect relevant data and data entry.
• Operate standard school equipment and follow day-to-day student schedule.
• Maintain a calm response to unforeseen circumstances and follow PBSP directions.
