Lewiston Public Schools in Maine is seeking an Education Technician III to assist a Special Education Teacher in delivering services specified in the student’s IEP and PBSP within RISE/Day Treatment programs.

The role includes supporting 1:1 and small-group instruction, following IEPs, collecting data, and preparing materials to support specialized instruction. Strong teamwork and communication are essential for student success.

Qualifications

• Three years postsecondary education and/or 90 credit hours in a related area.
• Education Technician III certification is required by Maine DOE.
• School Based Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification is also required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate 1:1, 1:2 and small group instruction for complex learners.
• Implement and follow IEP and PBSP.
• Collect data and enter it accurately.
• Prepare materials and set up classroom for specialized instruction.
• Maintain day-to-day student schedules and safety.
