Job summary

Lewiston Public Schools is seeking an Education Technician to support Special Education services in RISE/Day Treatment programs. The role involves 1:1 and small group instruction, implementing IEPs and PBSPs, and data collection to monitor progress.

The Ed Tech will assist with classroom setup, materials, and daily routines, while ensuring safety and adherence to behavioral plans and staff directions.

Qualifications

• This position requires a postsecondary education credential or credit hours as listed.
• Certifications in Education Technician III and BHP are preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate 1:1, 1:2 and small group instruction.
• Implement and follow an IEP and PBSP; de-escalation strategies.
• Prepare materials and set up classroom spaces.
• Collect and enter student data; maintain displays and bulletin boards.
• Operate standard school equipment and support daily student schedules.
• Adhere to classroom safety and PBSP/clinical directions.

Education

Three years postsecondary education or 90 credit hours

Education Technician III certification

School Based Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification
