Job summary

Rite of Passage at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, AR is seeking a Special Education Teacher to deliver targeted instruction in a secure residential setting and to support youth toward successful educational outcomes. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and Special Education certification, being 21+, and passing background checks.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with comprehensive benefits and a competitive pay scale starting at $50,000

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in education or a related field.
• Active State Special Education teaching certification required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum using Target Teaching methodologies in an educational setting.
• Track student attendance and maintain grades.
• Prepare lesson plans and assist in classroom activities.
• Respond to student needs across a variety of ability levels.
