Job summary

The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas seeks a Core Content Teacher to deliver a curriculum using Target Teaching methodologies at a secure residential program for at-risk youth.

You will track attendance and grades, prepare lessons, and support diverse learners in a structured environment. Compensation starts at $50,000 annually with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active 7-12 Core Content teaching certification (Math, Science, ELA/English, or Social Studies) required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test required.
• Ability to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and meet ROP driving eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum using Target Teaching methodologies and track student attendance and grades.
• Prepare lesson plans and assist in classroom settings.
• Respond to students with a range of abilities using established school policies.
