Job summary

The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas seeks a Core Content Teacher to deliver a curriculum using Target Teaching methodologies at a secure residential program for at-risk youth.

You will track attendance and grades, prepare lessons, and support diverse learners in a structured environment. Compensation starts at $50,000 annually with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active 7-12 Core Content teaching certification (Math, Science, ELA/English, or Social Studies) required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test required.
• Ability to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and meet ROP driving eligibility.

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Core Content Teacher at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas

AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Pay

Follows an approved Teacher Pay Scale, starting at $50,000 a year and increasing based on level of education and experience.

What you will do

A Teacher will work primarily with students in an educational setting delivering a curriculum of Target Teaching methodologies. As a teacher, you will track student attendance, maintain student grades, prepare lesson plans, and assist as needed in the classroom setting. With proven and efficient school policies and procedures, the Teacher will respond to the needs of students who have a variety of ability levels.

To be considered you should

• Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
• Have an active teacher's certification in 7-12 Core Content Areas (Math, Science, ELA/English, or Social Studies)
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
• Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
1st, 3rd, and 4th Friday, 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Once a week, facilitate a group until 4:30 PM
