Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for our Elementary School program. You will lead instructional planning, deliver differentiated instruction, and implement IEPs to support diverse learners in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, using educational software, and coordinating with parents and staff to monitor student progress and goals in alignment with state standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or closely related field.
• Licensed or in process of obtaining IL professional educator credential (PEL).
• IL state SSE or LBS1 credential in progress.
• Experience with curriculum development, differentiation, and instruction in alternative/special education.
• Experience with IEPs and collaborating in co-teaching environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Deliver differentiated and targeted instruction.
• Develop and implement IEPs, goals and interventions.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Maintain organized, safe classroom and manage resources.
