Job summary

TX-STAR Speech Language Services seeks Certified Special Education Teachers for school-based roles in Dallas and surrounding communities. You will plan and deliver individualized instruction and collaborate with campus teams and families to address each student’s educational needs.

On-site positions offer flexible placement across prekindergarten through high school, with opportunities to advocate for students and participate in ARD/IEP processes while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required.
• Strong knowledge of IEP procedures and differentiated instruction.
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage IEPs per student needs and timelines.
• Provide instruction based on learning profiles and goals.
• Modify curriculum and materials to improve accessibility.
• Use assessments and data to guide instruction.
• Adjust lessons and supports to changing needs.
• Promote academic, social, and emotional development.
• Incorporate assistive technology and visual supports.
• Collaborate with teachers, service providers, staff, and families.
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and set measurable goals.
• Maintain service records and progress reports.
