Job summary

TX-STAR Speech Language Services is seeking Certified Special Education Teachers for on-site school-based opportunities in El Paso, TX and surrounding communities. You will develop individualized instruction and collaborate with families and campus teams to meet each student’s needs.

Responsibilities include creating IEPs, delivering targeted instruction, adapting materials, and using progress data to guide teaching decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Current and valid Texas Special Education teaching certification.
• Strong knowledge of IEP procedures, differentiated instruction, and school-based special education practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction for students with diverse needs.
• Collaborate with campus teams and families to address each student’s educational goals.
• Create, implement, and oversee IEPs with timelines and measurable goals.
• Adjust curriculum and materials to improve access and engagement.
• Use data from assessments and progress to inform decisions.
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Incorporate assistive technology and visual supports as appropriate.
• Participate in ARD and IEP meetings and documentation.
