Job summary

Dallas School District is accepting applications for a full-time Special Education Teacher at Oakdale Heights Elementary School in Oregon. The role requires a current Oregon teaching license with Special Education endorsement and experience in developing IEPs and Behavior Support Plans.

The teacher will collaborate with parents and staff to design and implement individualized instruction, monitor progress, and direct paraprofessionals to support students with diverse needs in multiple settings.

Job description

Dallas School District is accepting applications for full-time Special Education Teacher at Oakdale Heights Elementary School.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Applicants must have a current Oregon teaching license with Special Educationendorsement.
  • Knowledge of Professional Learning Communities preferred.
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and other members of the team to develop IEP's for each student.
  • SPED License or successful behaviorial experience will be considered.
  • Experience managing IEPs and Behavior Support Plans.
  • Participates in the eligibility process for individual students.
  • Ability to manage individual student needs in multiple academic settings.
  • Experience providing specially designed instruction for social-emotional/behavioral learning.
  • Assess student achievement on an ongoing basis.
  • Ability to direct paraprofessionals in a wide range of student ability levels.
  • Ability to design and implement individual and small group instruction in a functional academic setting.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain SPED license withing 2 years.
  • Possible Signing bonus and additional SPED stipend.
