Job summary

New Story Schools seeks a Special Education Teacher to design and deliver individualized instruction for students aged 5–21 with autism and related challenges. You will create a structured classroom that blends academic goals with social-emotional growth in collaboration with the team.

The role requires PA Special Education certification, 3+ months of relevant experience, and strong organizational and communication skills to lead and support multidisciplinary staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and PA Special Education certification.
• Minimum three months of experience with students with disabilities.
• Knowledge of child development, differentiated instruction, and behavior management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs and lesson plans that meet each student’s needs.
• Deliver engaging instruction using varied teaching methods.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Track progress and prepare required documentation and reports.
• Lead and support classroom staff to ensure consistent implementation of student plans.
