Job summary

New Story Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher to design and deliver individualized instruction for students aged 5–21 with autism and related needs. You will implement IEPs, create structured lessons, and support social-emotional growth within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes safety, progress tracking, and consistent student plan implementation. The ideal candidate holds a PA Special Education certificate, with at least three months of relevant classroom

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and PA Special Education teaching certification (required).
Minimum three months of experience working with students with disabilities.
Knowledge of child development, differentiated instruction, and behavior management.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement IEPs and lesson plans that meet each student’s needs.
Deliver engaging instruction using varied teaching methods.
Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
Track progress and prepare required documentation and reports.
Lead and support classroom staff to ensure consistent implementation of student plans.
