Job summary

New Story Schools in Reading, PA is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to design and deliver individualized instruction that helps students make meaningful progress. You will develop IEPs, implement engaging lessons, manage behavior, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support students ages 5–21 with autism and related needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and PA Special Education teaching certification
• Minimum three months of experience with students with disabilities
• Knowledge of child development, differentiated instruction, and behavior management
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs and lesson plans that meet each student’s needs
• Deliver engaging instruction using varied teaching methods
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment
• Track progress and prepare required documentation and reports
• Lead and support classroom staff to ensure consistent implementation of student plans
