Job summary

New Story Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher to design and deliver individualized instruction for students aged 5–21 with autism and emotional/behavioral challenges. You will build structured lessons and support social-emotional growth in a collaborative setting.

The role requires a PA Special Education certification, a bachelor's degree, and at least three months of related experience. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to implement person-centered IEPs and progress tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification
• Minimum three months of experience with students with disabilities
• Knowledge of child development and differentiated instruction
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs and lesson plans that meet each student’s needs
• Deliver engaging instruction using varied teaching methods
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment
• Track progress and prepare required documentation and reports
• Lead and support classroom staff to ensure consistent implementation of student plans
