Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students requiring additional educational and behavioral supports.

You will implement SESI’s evidence-based learning models and CASE PBIS framework to help learners overcome challenges and shine in inclusive classrooms. You will collaborate with school teams and families, develop individualized lesson plans, and monitor progress toward academic, social, and emotional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.
• Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.
• Adaptability and flexibility in diverse school settings.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Use SESI instructional models and curricula to teach knowledge and skills.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation and crisis management as needed.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs, BIPs, incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students, including transitions within the school.
