Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a special education teacher to support K-12 students with diverse needs. Work in in-district classrooms and standalone schools, applying SESI’s PBIS framework and evidence-based instruction.

You will collaborate with school teams and families, develop individualized lesson plans, manage behavior, and monitor student growth, while benefiting from SESI’s career development and robust benefits program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent teaching credential.
• Commitment to implementing feedback and ongoing learning.
• Adaptability and flexibility in diverse classroom settings.
• Experience with inclusive education approaches is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Use SESI’s instructional models and curricula to teach knowledge and skills.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies to ensure safety.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs and BIPs.
• Drive, record, and track student growth toward goals.
• Supervise and monitor students during transitions within the school.
