Job summary

The Austin Centers for Exceptional Students in Arizona is seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher for SY 2026/2027 to provide specialized instruction and manage IEPs under campus leadership. This role involves assessing progress, reporting, collaborating with TSS/para-pros, and serving as primary contact for families, while delivering research-based instruction aligned with ACES curriculum.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with a competitive pay range of $55,000 to $70,500 per year and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in teaching with appropriate special education area.
• AZ Special Education Certification or Alternative SPED Certification.
• Current Arizona teaching license or progress to obtain AZ cert/license.

Responsibilities

• Assesses student progress and determines the need for reinforcement or adjustment to instructional techniques.
• Completes all district and state reporting requirements.
• Ensures compliance with school policies and state/federal regulations.
• Supports in special education evaluations and reevaluations.
• Coordinates delivery of special education services in each student’s IEP.
• Delivers instruction using ACES curriculum and develops IEP goals and services.
• Collaborates with team members to set instructional goals and strategies for students.
