Job summary

The Austin Centers for Exceptional Students is hiring a Certified Special Education Teacher for SY 2026/2027 at the El Mirage Dysart Campus.

You will develop and implement IEPs, assess student progress, coordinate services, and work with parents, districts, and TSS to support students with disabilities.

Eligible candidates may receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus and join a team dedicated to empowering bright futures for our exceptional learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in teaching from an accredited institution in Special Education.
• AZ Special Education Certification or Alternative SPED Certification.
• Current AZ teaching license or progress to obtain AZ cert/license.

Responsibilities

• Assess student progress and adjust instructional techniques as needed.
• Complete district and state reporting requirements.
• Comply with school policies, and state/federal regulations.
• Coordinate delivery of special education services within each student’s IEP.
• Develop and implement annual IEPs with goals and services.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians, districts and referral sources.
• Supervise educational assistants as directed.
