Job summary

The Austin Centers for Exceptional Students seeks a Certified Special Education Teacher to deliver specialized instruction for students with disabilities under campus leadership, coordinating IEP goals and services with a dedicated team.

Position requires AZ SPED certification and an active license; supports involve collaboration with parents, districts, and TSS staff. The role includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in teaching from an accredited institution in special education
• AZ Special Education Certification or Alternative SPED Certification (required)
• Current Arizona teaching license in required content area or progress to get AZ cert/license

Responsibilities

• Assesses student progress and adjusts instructional techniques accordingly.
• Completes all district and state reporting requirements.
• Coordinates delivery of special education services in each student’s IEP.
• Develops and implements yearly IEPs with goals and services.
• Supervises and evaluates educational assistants as directed.
• Serves as primary contact for parents/guardians and collaborates with districts.
