Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Forney, TX to deliver quality services to K-12 students under the Special Education Program Administrator. You will participate in team planning, implement individualized instruction, provide tutorial support, and consult with general education staff to promote student progress.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a state teaching certificate; an LBS1 endorsement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Experience in teaching environment preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Health clearance requirements ( CPR/ TB/waiver, as applicable) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through grade 12.
• Participate in planning and implementing student programs including special instruction and tutorial assistance.
• Consult with general education staff to support student success.
