Job summary

Amergis seeks a Special Education Teacher to deliver high-quality services to students from kindergarten through grade 12 under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. You will participate in planning and implementing individualized student programs that include special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid state teaching certificate, with a minimum of one year of teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

Responsibilities

• Special Education Teacher provides quality services to special education students, K-12.
• Collaborates with general education staff to plan and implement student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation.
