Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Schertz, TX. The role is contract full-time, paying $45 per hour with a 37.50-hour work week, serving K–12 special education students under program administration guidance.

The candidate will collaborate with staff to plan and implement student programs, provide specialized instruction, and offer consultation to general education teams. A bachelor's degree and proper certifications are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment (preferred).
• State Teacher Certification types for elementary, secondary or special teaching preferred.
• Endorsement LBS1 preferred.
• Complies with professional standards of practice; CPR/health certificates may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, K–12.
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs with general education staff.
• Deliver special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consult with general education colleagues.
