Job summary

BlazerJobs, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a short-term assignment in Glendale Heights, IL. The role runs from November 2, 2026, to January 28, 2027, onsite with school hours 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Job description

Make a direct impact in the lives of 3rd through 5th grade students by providing exceptional support as a Special Education Teacher for a short-term assignment in a vibrant school environment. This full-time, onsite position runs from November 2, 2026, through January 28, 2027, with all holidays, Winter Break, and student non-attendance days off, ensuring balance between professional and personal commitments. Your hours will be 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement


• Proven background as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with 3rd-5th grade students


• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and implementing accommodations


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families


• Ability to foster an inclusive classroom climate and maintain positive student engagement


• Dedication to supporting students academic and social-emotional development
