Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Dallas seeks a Rise Special Education teacher to serve students with a wide range of disabilities across subjects including Reading, Writing, Math, History, and Adaptive PE. The role focuses on high achievement and family support to prepare for long-term plans for each student.

You will develop IEPs, coordinate related services, monitor progress, and communicate with families to ensure students reach their fullest potential within IDEA’s RISE program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Texas state certification in Special Education required.
• Experience in a Special Education classroom with significant disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs.
• Develop and implement IEPs for a caseload.
• Coordinate related services for students on caseload.
• Update progress and communicate with families weekly.
• Host tutoring or after-school supports as needed.
