Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, a ChanceLight company, is seeking a Special Education Teacher for elementary students in an alternative education program. You will design personalized learning experiences, deliver targeted instruction, and collaborate in a learning center and classroom setting.

Responsibilities include developing IEPs, integrating educational software, and aligning with state standards while maintaining a positive classroom climate and PBIS implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• IL professional educator credential in progress or active.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in progress or active.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation in education.
• Experience with IEPs and special education services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver differentiated instruction to meet IEP goals.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and goals.
• Collaborate in co-teaching environments to support students.
• Track student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Utilize PBIS strategies and engage families and staff.
