• Knowledge of MA Special Education laws and IEP development
• Classroom experience Monday-Friday in a structured setting
• Experience with students who are nonverbal, on the autism spectrum, prone to tantrums, runners, or wheelchairbound preferred

YOUR IMPACT

The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support to elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities in a structured, therapeutic day school setting serving a high-needs student population. This role is ideal for a teacher who is comfortable supporting students with significant behavioral needs, challenging behaviors, and students on the autism spectrum, while building positive relationships and providing consistent, individualized support. Responsibilities include developing and implementing IEPs, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with teachers, related service providers, and families to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. This is a full-time, year-round school position running September through June, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There are currently two openings available.
