Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an on-site school-based assignment for the 2026-2027 school year. The role emphasizes collaboration with general education teams, targeted interventions, and student-centered support plans.

The position involves supporting students with disabilities through inclusive supports and/or pull-out instruction, implementing IEPs, and coordinating with families and campus partners to promote meaningful progress.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan teaching certificate is required.
• Michigan Special Education endorsement aligned to caseload is required.
• Experience supporting elementary learners in special education.
• Ability to collaborate with general education staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver special education instruction aligned to IEP goals through group and individualized support.
• Collaborate with general education staff to support inclusive settings.
• Provide resource/pull-out instruction and targeted interventions.
• Implement accommodations and modifications to support access and progress.
• Collect data, monitor progress, and contribute to IEP documentation and reporting.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with families and campus partners.
