Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, on-site role supports students across two district locations, including preschool/LD caseload and moderate-needs populations, with a focus on quality education and individualized support.

You will work with diverse learners, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and implement IEPs while fostering an inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• Hold current Indiana Educator Certification in Special Education.
• Background serving preschool, learning disabled, or moderate-need student populations preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Adaptability when working in various school settings and with different age groups.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional support to assigned caseload, ensuring all IEP goals are met.
• Create a safe, engaging, and positive classroom environment.
• Differentiate lessons to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student performance and maintain up-to-date progress reports.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.
• Communicate proactively with families regarding student growth and challenges.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and district initiatives.
