Job summary

Scoot Education seeks a Special Education Substitute Teacher in the Houston area. You will supervise and support students across classroom settings, promoting an inclusive learning environment and smooth daily routines. Strong communication with staff and adherence to lesson plans are required.

Ideal candidates have a teaching credential or substitute permit and experience in special education. This is a W-2 role with growth and training opportunities through Scoot Education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, associate degree or college credits required.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a supervisor.
• State and federal background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in classroom, playground or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment with active student engagement.
• Manage routines, behavior, and transitions per lesson plans.
• Communicate clearly with school staff.
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher.

Daily Pay Range:

Pay will vary forday-to-day assignments and is typicallymore for long-term placements.Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, associate's degree or college credits
