Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• One year experience in a child care setting or with special education is preferred.
• North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials; or must be enrolled and obtain NC EC credentials within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in implementing daily activities for special education students to meet IEP/IFSP goals.
• Assist with the daily activities of students, providing a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment.
• Maintain the classroom in a clean and orderly condition.
• Record student progress and maintain data sheets used for IEP/IFSP goals.
