Job summary

Qualifications

• High School degree, GED, or equivalent experience; background check required.
• Experience with children, preferably with disabilities.
• Awareness of school policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education teacher with therapy techniques and equipment.
• Support implementation of the individualized rehabilitative plan for a student.
• Help with specialized physical, therapeutic and self-help activities.
• Assist with transportation and classroom activities as needed.
• Support students with physical disabilities during transfers and tasks.
