Job summary

Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) is seeking an ESE Assistant to support the special education teacher. You will work with individual students to provide physical, safety, and emotional support to maximize educational outcomes.

You will implement rehabilitative plans, assist with therapy activities, and help with classroom and transportation-related duties, ensuring student well-being and safety.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and the mission of the company.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Windows software and Student Information System (SIS).
• Understanding of policies and procedures for K-12 schools and charter school law preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education teacher with therapy techniques and equipment.
• Participate in implementing individualized rehabilitative plans for students.
• Perform specialized physical, therapeutic and self-help activities.
• Assist students with bathroom and physical needs as required.
• Support transitions between wheelchair, floor, table or therapy devices.
• Assist loading/unloading students from transportation.
• Help students with projects and curriculum tasks.
