Job summary

School District of Ashland is seeking a Support Staff/Supervision Assistant for Ashland High School. The position runs 7:45am-3:15pm or 8:00am-3:30pm, 7.0 hours per day with a 30-minute lunch. Responsibilities include in-class support, small group and one-to-one interventions, and supervision in multiple school settings.

Preferred candidates have experience with reading and mathematics strategies, classroom management, and collaboration with staff. Reports to the Assistant Principal.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting instruction across core subjects using differentiated strategies.
• Experience with reading and mathematics learning strategies.
• Ability to implement evidence-based behavior management strategies.
• Willingness to supervise outdoors and coordinate with school staff.

Responsibilities

• In-class support with identified students clarifying, redirecting, and encouraging students.
• Small group instruction with identified students either in-class or pull-out.
• Individual pull-out support for students needing Tier II or III intervention (math and reading/language arts).
• Ability to effectively use and integrate technology in the instructional support setting.
• Prepare required documentation in a timely manner.
• Supervision on playground, garden, and other areas as directed.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other adults within the school.
• Extensive mobility and willingness to perform job duties outdoors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
