Job summary

School District of Ashland is seeking an Academic Learning Support / Playground Supervision Assistant for Ashland Middle School. The role runs 10:15 AM - 3:45 PM (5 hours/day) with a 30-minute lunch.

Responsibilities include in-class support, small group work, one-to-one interventions, and playground supervision. Preferred candidates will have experience with middle school students and behavior interventions, and the ability to effectively use classroom management strategies while coordinating

Qualifications

• Ability to support instruction across core subjects using differentiated strategies.
• Provide in-class, pull-out, and one-to-one academic and behavioral support.
• Coordinate with school staff and supervise playground and outdoor areas.
• Prepare required documentation in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction in all core subject areas using differentiated strategies.
• In-class support sitting with identified students clarifying, redirecting, encouraging.
• Small group instruction for identified students in-class or pull-out.
• One-to-one academic/behavioral support for tier II/III needs; focus on math and reading/language arts.
• Supervise playground and school garden; assist with other areas as directed.
• Coordinate with adults within the school and collaborate on student success.
• Extensive mobility for outdoor duties; perform other assigned tasks.
