Job summary

Ashland School District 5 Education Assistant-ELD Services is needed to support teaching staff in Student Services with small-group and one-on-one instructional tasks, record keeping, and supervision. This is a probationary role with 0.875 FTE (7 hours per day).

The position involves translating for non-English speakers, assisting with classroom setup, data entry, attendance, and collaboration in regular team meetings to support student learning and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with supervision.
• Experience supporting students in groups or 1:1 settings.
• Willingness to translate and interpret for multilingual students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with students with a variety of needs at multiple school sites.
• Implements planned activities for instructional support in small groups.
• Assists students with computer software and testing programs.
• Tests and tracks progress in math, writing, reading, listening and speaking as directed.
• Maintains and secures confidential records and inquiries as needed.
• Translates and interprets for students, staff and parents and assists with meetings.
