Teaches students academic, social, and behavioral skills following guidelines set by State of Illinois law and board policy. This position includes case management of IEPs, with expectations to facilitate and lead IEP meetings. The teacher may co-teach academic classes or teach within a self-contained program for students with low-incidence disabilities.
Bachelor’s Degree; one to two years related experience and/or training preferred. Must hold an appropriate valid Illinois Professional Educators License with LBS1 endorsement. Ideal candidates will have co-teaching experience, a passion for skill-based studies, experience writing IEP goals, and the ability to lead IEP meetings. Experience working with students with low-incidence disabilities is preferred.
