Responsibilities include participating in TAP, attending professional growth groups, and maintaining student progress records. A $6,000 stipend per year is offered, with an additional $750 sign-on prorated by hire date.

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona teaching certificate.
• Must meet all Arizona Department of Education certification requirements.
• Meets Criteria of Appropriately Certified - Special Education, appropriate for subject/area.
• Minimum of a Provisional SEI, ESL or Bilingual Endorsement.
• Bachelor's Degree (minimum requirement).
• Must pass a background check upon employment.
• Must possess a valid IVP Fingerprint clearance card.
• English as a Second Language Endorsement (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Participate in the TAP teacher instructionally focused accountability system.
• Attend ongoing applied professional growth groups (clusters).
• Collaborate on lesson planning with mentor and master teachers to enhance expertise.
• Develop expertise through creating and maintaining an Individual Growth Plan (IGP).
• Use formal and informal assessment to monitor student progress toward goals.
• Align lessons to district curriculum and state standards.
• Demonstrate appropriate teacher-student interactions with warmth and respect.
• Maintain accurate records meeting timelines and communicate with staff.
